Your Guide to Brunchin’ Out in Buffalo

Brunch, the plucky little meal that you never expected to become your favorite way to check out a new restaurant. With new spots popping up and classic favorites in every neighborhood hopping on this trend, Buffalo’s restaurants have embraced brunch in a big way. Long gone are the days of limited options; this is the Brunch era now.

With no shortage of choices and cuisine to satisfy the whole crew, you might need a little help finding where to head first. So here it is, Hotel Henry’s guide to brunchin’ in Buffalo.

THE DAPPER GOOSE | SUNDAY, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Located on Amherst Street in the heart of the Black Rock Neighborhood stands The Dapper Goose. With an ever-changing menu based on what the restaurant can purchase from their local, partnered farms, The Dapper Goose offers diners their fresh take on New American cuisine.

Think french toast with strawberry rhubarb jam, maple, and whipped cream and savory options like the spicy chicken sandwich with bread & butter pickles, mayo, and hash browns. All set in a quaint environment where you can choose either to be cozy indoors or outdoors beneath vines and hanging baskets. Our team are long-time members of the #GooseMafia, and honestly, it’s about time you join us too.

ROOT & BLOOM CAFE | SATURDAY & SUNDAY 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

A vegetarian and vegan staple in Buffalo, Root & Bloom opened its doors intending to create “a love affair with good food that’s good for you.” Spoiler alert, they did it!

This entirely plant-based brunch and dinner hangout spot strives to create healthy meals that are equally satisfying and inspired. Add this to a great atmosphere and incredible decor and this Elmwood Avenue eatery is appealing to anyone; vegan, vegetarian, or not.

Are you looking for something filling? Order Sir Nigel’s Full English, a take on a traditional full English breakfast. Need to satisfy that sweet tooth? Try the Topanga, toasted cottage bread topped with cultured-cashew cream cheese, blackberry jam, and fresh mint.
