Hotel Henry Art Walk: Summer Denouement

Celebrate a wonderful season of art on Friday, August 30th from 5:30 to 7:30 pm with a final toast to this summer’s artists and the stories they told at Hotel Henry. With a title that lends to the idea of a final convergence of a story, Hotel Henry Art Walk: Summer Denouement is the culmination of a season’s worth of gallery-quality art installed in the various corridors, connectors, and other unique spaces of the National Historic Landmark Building.

Free and open to the public, the art walk will feature several openings at Hotel Henry all happening together. 

Enjoy cash bars throughout the 2nd floor corridors as well as art-inspired food and beverage specials from 100 Acres before, during, or after you explore a season’s worth of art collaborations in the vast spaces of the hotel that lend themselves to contemporary art..

Curated by Resource:Art, this special preview of the fall show in The Corridors Gallery at Hotel Henry focuses on 5 artists currently living and working in WNY. Each artist’s work is selected to respond to the unique exhibition spaces offered by the hotel.

"Driving Home" by Michael Lee Jackson

This collection of photography is the culmination of several cross-country trips through contemporary America. Through his lens, Michael Lee Jackson brings us with him on his drives through the rural wreckage and small-town beauty of America now. His intention is to remind viewers that the bubbles most of us occupy are also echo chambers, and there are many people out there living vastly different lives.

1st Floor West Connector & Corridor | Garden-Based Art Installations

"Drawing a Blank" by Lee Cannarozzo. Artist's talk will be given at 7:00 pm.

"Sanctuary" by Lyla Rye

Orangery Installation by John Santomieri with feature work by Magda Cordell

"Greenhouse Apocalypse" by Visual Artist and Choreographer Kyla Kegler, in remote collaboration with Allison Peacock and Jessy Layne Tuddenham. Performance ongoing from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
