Buffalo's First Historic Hospitality Concept: The Mansion on Delaware Avenue

The Mansion on Delaware Avenue stood vacant for over 25 years until Geno Principe, Diana Principe, and Dennis Murphy, purchased the property in 1998, a CityInn Buffalo, LLC. After 18 months of planning, 14 months of restoration and $3 million in renovations, “The House of Light” opened once again on April 13, 2001 as The Mansion on Delaware Avenue. The Mansion on Delaware Avenue sparked a new era of architectural rehabilitation and reuse in WNY, and is Buffalo’s first and only AAA Four Diamond luxury hotel.

Hotel Henry: A Symbol of Buffalo's Renaissance

Widely considered to be one of Buffalo’s most important and beautiful buildings, construction on the 145-year-old Richardson Olmsted Campus began in 1872 and opened in 1880 as the state-of-the-art Buffalo State Asylum for the Insane. Hotel Henry is the first phase and 1/3 of the redevelopment of the Richardson Olmsted Campus. Construction began in October 2014, With Hotel Henry opening April 30, 2017. Hotel Henry is now a symbol of Buffalo's ongoing renaissance.
